Most European countries do not require an International Driving Permit (IDP). A full UK driver’s license with photograph is usually sufficient; however there are a few exceptions and time limits that apply. If you still have one of the older style driver’s licenses then you may require an IDP to enter certain countries.
Bulgaria Older style paper licences must be accompanied by an IDP.
Czech Republic UK driving licences will be valid up to 90 days; older style paper licences must be accompanied by an IDP.
Hungary Older style paper licences must be accompanied by an IDP.
